Description

This is a closeup of a dying turkey vulture. I don't know why it was dying, but it was on the road (with no visible injuries,) and I got to take pictures of it for about an hour, and it died soon after.

Looks like an immature turkey vulture to me. Could've gotten hit by a car, or been sick, or just malnourished. Lots of things can happen to a bird out in the wide world.

Beautiful shot, though.
